I’m TJ Chrastil—a singer-songwriter, Army veteran, podcast host, and writer. I fronted a touring band before stepping away from the stage in 2009. I never stopped writing, though. The songs kept coming—some from joy, some from pain, and a few from the kind of silence only life experience can teach you to sit with.

After years of raising kids, working tough jobs, and navigating life’s messiness, I’m finally ready to share the songs that stuck with me. They’re not perfect—but they’re real. And in a world that rewards polish over truth, I’ll take real every time.

When I’m not making music, I help older adults and their families through major life transitions, host podcasts, write stories, and volunteer playing music in senior communities and hospice care. I believe music still matters—especially when it’s honest.
